The project aims to support the government of the Philippines to achieve transformational change by using NDC implementation as a tool for scaling up public and private investments in climate change efforts to deliver sustainable development, recognizing that the empowerment of women is integral to success.
The project will target all six sectors responsible for GHG emissions, i.e. agriculture, waste, industry, transport, forestry, and energy, which have typically been referred to as “AWIT-FE” sectors under the LECB PHL Project and complementary USAID EC-LEDS Project.
NSPP organized the 2nd Annual Business Climate Action Summit which brought together innovation leaders, advocates, practitioners, investors, and other climate action stakeholders from the private sector. The event was attended by a total number of 252 participants from more than 83 private corporations, 10 national government agencies, 3 local government units, 11 development partners and civil society organizations, 2 delegates from the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and the CCC.
